In The SPOTLIGHT: Neil Young

Wow. I can’t believe this guy isn’t crowned king of song writing (although he’d share it with Bob Dylan). Neil Young is a multi genre maverick, whose contribution is nothing short of being all across the board on rock music. His, sounds and tones, in terms of instruments, are brilliantly set but he’s all too careful so as to not allowing them to take center stage.

Had nothing better to do on a Saturday evening,so what the hell, why not...? here's the my take on it

Review : 4/5

This movie I guess tells one how far Indian animation can go with the right production backing. One of the finest examples of movie cinematography and background scenery, obviously if your expecting kung fu panda-esque stuff you wont find it.. but was it realistic??.. HELL YEAH ! Right from the red marble castles to stone carved mountain kingdoms.

Classic Rock and Roll : The spark that ignited all things Rock Music went out to become

Rock and Roll has a very different meaning today as compared to what it originally meant. These days anything with guitar and distortion, probably a continuous bass drum thump and near scream vocals.
The core meaning of rock and roll music isn’t exactly that. It basically was in the popularity of back beat and shift to popularity of music that had 4/4, 3/4 time signatures. The music was easier to get a hold of sonically in your mind and just move to it, rather than do elaborate swirls in jazz or big band music.

Recommendations for the Vocal Jazz genre:

  • Frank Sinatra - Moon River

Vocal Jazz and Classic Crooners: The Men and Music that defined the charm of an era..

The Rat-Pack (Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr
and Frank Sinatra)

Who do you consider the best singer, well pop singer, vocalist, etc of our times? Michael Buble? Josh Groban? Bono? Those boys in Il Divo? Masters they may be, but legends? That’s yet to be decided.
This post discusses a genre of great sense of emotion and one that imbibes serenity of each human emotion in such a fluid way, that it is quite incomprehensible as to how such simplicity can evoke such grandeur and majesty. Class is what it is.
